What will Apple’s GAI strategy look like?

This has good coverage of Apple’s moves in the area and the reasons to believe there’s a big intervention coming from them. I wonder if the end game will be something like Rewind built into the iCloud ecosystem, which I stopped using because the continuous self/other surveillance was creeping me about. But the ability to ask natural language questions of the entirety of your digital experience is enormously powerful e.g. “what are the most prominent themes in the conversations I’ve had this week?”. I could see how Apple could make this work in a way that circumvents some of the discomfort I imagine many Rewind users feel. Add in Rabbit R1 style agentive capacities building on the summation of this knowledge and we’re getting ever closer to the digital daemon.
