Until I realised the following:
- This isn’t a DMCA takedown notice
- If it was it would go to WordPress, not me
- There’s no such thing as “case No. 88739”
- I sourced that image from Unsplash
- There’s no legal argument here
- It’s not written as a legal letter
- The domain name on the e-mail doesn’t match the website
- Both domain names were registered in the last few months
- The Boston law firm referred to has a domain registered in Iceland
- The Boston law firm referred to has no independent public profile
- Their website is full of AI generated text and images
It’s hard not to see this as a sign of things to come though.
