Are you looking for a teaching role in digital education?

Are you looking for a teaching role in digital education? The Manchester Institute for Education is hiring three Senior Tutors to support a range of programmes, one of which is the MA Digital Technologies, Communication and Education. This is a rapidly growing area of the department with a recently launched research group and a range of transdisciplinary research projects. I’m not involved in recruitment but I’m keen to encourage applications in our area because we would really benefit from a new colleague to work with us on the multiple initiatives we are in the process of developing.

Senior Tutors provide teaching, supervision and pastoral care of students undertaking programmes within MIE. Your job will be to support lecturers in the teaching of their units, and to help students to learn better. You’ll be involved with small group teaching, one-to-one supervision and academic advising, and you will also be asked to give lectures in your specialist areas. You may be asked to help with programme or even department management. The post holders will be expected to hold a PhD (or have made significant progress towards a PhD) or substantial professional experience in Higher Education, in addition to experience of teaching and assessing in Education, within a postgraduate and/or undergraduate context.
