Is it fair to call this ‘AI slop’? After I went through the whole album out of curiosity I can’t shake the feeling some degree of care might have gone into producing this. These are the two tracks which, to my immense discomfort, I do find genuinely catchy. If you’re uncomfortable with this kind of content (and there’s a lot of people who are vastly more uncomfortable with it in principle than I am) then you need to prepare for the possibility that we might have AI slop that isn’t terrible in the not too distant future. If the aesthetics improve then critique predicated on aesthetic disgust will becoming increasingly toothless.
