This case study suggests a lot of currently unrealised possibilities beyond commercial ed tech:
by developing educational chatbots based on small LLMs that can be run on personal computers, our methodology lowers the barriers of access to educational resources, democratizing education across different demographics and regions. Thus, our approach contributes to greater educational equity by enabling individuals to independently access and leverage advanced technolog- ical tools for learning, regardless of their socio-economic status or geographical location.
