It was really interesting to see these two in dialogue. Firstly, they clearly like and respect each other. Secondly, I’d never connected the fact they’re both neuroscientists by training. Thirdly, they both love the film Contact.
I wonder how much their working sense of otherness has been inflected through this in particular. It makes me want to rewatch this film, which I also love.
